Sung Jin-Woo's System in VR: Live the Solo Leveling System on Quest 3

Updated 6 September 2026 · Salvus Industries

Every Solo Leveling fan has had the same thought: what if the System picked me? A window that only you can see. Daily quests you cannot skip. Stats that go up when you train. Ranks from E to S and beyond. Fallen enemies rising as your shadows. Phone apps have been chasing that fantasy for years as habit trackers. ARISE takes it further: it puts the System in your actual room, in VR, on a Meta Quest 3 — and it is free to start with nothing to install.

Straight talk: ARISE is an independent game inspired by the Solo Leveling fantasy. It is not an official Solo Leveling product, it does not contain Sung Jin-Woo or the story's characters, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by the rights holders or with Netmarble's Solo Leveling: ARISE. What it gives you is the System as a game loop — for your own hunter.

What the System does in the story — and what ARISE does with it

Sung Jinwoo's System has a handful of rules that make it work as a story engine. Each one maps to a real mechanic in ARISE:

The System (in the story)ARISE (in your room)
Daily Quest: Preparation to Become Strong — push-ups, sit-ups, squats, a run. Every day, no excuses. Training quests fund your gates. Real reps — counted by the headset as you move — charge the Vigor you spend to enter a combat gate. Skip training and the gates stay shut.
Stats window — Strength, Agility, Sense, Vitality, Intelligence. Seven stats: STR, AGI, INT, VIT, SEN, CHA, WIL. Workouts raise the physical ones; quests and streaks raise the rest.
Level up — the only hunter whose rank is not fixed. Hunter ranks from F to Monarch. Levels come from quests and fights; rank-ups are earned, not bought.
Gates and dungeons — walk in, clear it, walk out stronger. Combat gates open in your own room. Passthrough stays on, so the enemies stand on your floor and you dodge by actually moving.
ARISE — shadow extraction. Defeated enemies rise as loyal shadows. Pinch over a fallen enemy to extract its shadow. It joins your Shadow Army permanently, levels with you, fights beside you — and can take your place while your real punches land through its fists.
Weapons from the inventory — daggers first, then better. Draw weapons out of System rifts with your hand: grip the hilt, pull, fight. Daggers can be thrown with a flick of the wrist.
The System's voice — cold, absolute, always watching. The System speaks — it issues quests, judges your form and talks you through the fight. You choose how hard it pushes.

Why VR changes the formula

A phone app can give you the bookkeeping of the System — quests, XP, a stats screen. It cannot make you feel a gate open. In ARISE the System window materialises in front of you at real scale; when you punch, your hand is the controller; when a shadow soldier stands beside you, it is standing on your carpet. That is the part of the fantasy the phone apps cannot reach, and it is the reason a Solo Leveling-style System belongs in a headset.

Hand tracking is the intended way to play. Put the controllers down. Punch, raise both fists to block, grab a weapon out of a rift, and pinch over a fallen enemy to call its shadow. Controllers work too — but bare hands are the point.

How to start (about two minutes)

  1. Put on your Meta Quest 3 or Quest 3S (Quest 2 runs with reduced visuals).
  2. Open the built-in Meta Quest Browser and go to ariseinvr.com/play.
  3. Tap ENTER AR. The System asks: DO YOU WISH TO BECOME A PLAYER?
  4. Say yes. Your stats, your first quest and your first weapon draw follow.

There is no store listing, no APK and no sideloading — ARISE runs on WebXR, the web standard for VR, straight from the headset browser. The full walkthrough is in How to play a Solo Leveling-style VR game on Quest 3.

Common questions

Is there a free Sung Jin-Woo System app?

ARISE is free to start, and the core loop — training, gates, shadow extraction — is playable without paying. Cosmetic and coaching tiers are optional. For the phone-only alternatives, see our comparison of Solo Leveling workout and self-improvement apps.

Does it work without a headset?

Yes — the same site runs flat on phones and desktops with your stats, quests, calendar and profile. The headset is where the gates, the combat and the shadows live.

Do I play as Sung Jinwoo?

No. ARISE has its own world and its own hunters. You are not playing his story — you are playing the System with your own body, and the shadows you raise are yours.
